Mojo Monday #412 Christmas

Hi there and welcome back to my blog for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch challenge MOJO412.

I've been on a Christmas card roll today so I have used my new stamps and dies for this one too! I really love these two new stamp sets; the wreath is from Peaceful Wreath and Versatile Christmas for the sentiment.

Here is my card. I've included a photo of the inside of my card too as I have continued the sentiment inside, along with another piece of holly bush.

Now here is the challenge sketch for Mojo Monday. Click on the sketch to go to their challenge page and check out the awesome projects!

Here are the supplies I've used. Note I have also used two new stamp sets from the new Holiday Catalogue which starts on 1 September 2015. They are called Versatile Christmas for the sentiments and Peaceful Wreath.

SIP11 - Tic Tac Toe

Hello again and welcome to my blog. Today I'm doing a challenge for Stamp Ink Paper. This week they have a Tic Tac Toe challenge, where they provide options and you chose a line of three! Further down you will see the options. I have chosen Birthday, Twine and Monocromatic.

Here is what I came up with.

I have chosen a design from the paper stack "Go Wild" for my background. I really love this pattern! I then complimented this with some Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black for the background to my greeting. You can't go wrong with this combo! I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder so it would pop. And finally added faux stitching just to add something extra.

Here is the Tic Tac Toe matrix! Click on the image to go straight to their page. Pop over to their page to see the projects done by the design team and entrants.

Just Add Ink #276 - By the Tide for Fathers Day

Hi there again! I've been busy today and was able to get some crafting done! Pitty the vacuuming didn't get done... :-)

This post is for a challenge from Just Add Ink. They had a theme challenge this week - MALES! I thought that seeings it is nearly Father's Day here in Australia, I'd make my hubby a card.

I also wanted to incorporate some of the In Colours, so I've used Lost Lagoon and Mint Macaron in my card today. I really like the two together. The stamp set "By The Tide" is my ususal go-to for masculine cards and I've just used the coral and shells.

You can click on the link HERE to go to the Just Add Ink site to see the challenge for this week. You'll also get to see projects by the design team and other entrants.

Here are a list of the supplies I've used today.

Fab Friday 71 - Dove of Peace

Hello and thanks for stopping by for my blog today for my Fab Friday #71 COLOUR Challenge! Well the colours the design team have chose this week are definitely Autumn colours. Unfortunately at the moment it is still Winter so the current surroundings were not very inspiring! These colours were very much outside my comfort zone, so it's good to give something different a try!

Here is my card.

Now for the challenge! Why not give it a go yourself? You can click on the pic below to go straight to their site. You'll also find the projects from the design team and the other challenge entrants.

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today I'm showing you a card I made for a sketch challenge from Pals Paper Arts. I was a bit perplexed when I first saw this sketch as I was thinking too literally... it wasn't until I thought outside the box after seeing the design teams projects that I had some ideas. Here is my card for today.

TGIF #16 Challenge

Hello there, welcome back to my blog and a challenge I haven't done for a bit. I can't resist a sketch challenge, and one that is an "oldie but a goodie"! The sunburst, no wait, starburst? Whichever way you prefer, I've pulled out some recollection of how to construct one for today's card!

This stamp set is called "Dove of Peace" from the new Holiday Catalogue which is coming really soon! We are all on countdown! The stamp has a sentiment and I have stamped it separately in the inside of the card. The colours I've used are Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green and the papers I've used are from the Regals Designer Series Paper Stack.

Here is the TGIF challenge sketch! If you're new to this card technique, you should give it a try! There are examples from the design team and other entrants, click on the pic below and you'll go straight there.

Just Add Ink #275 - Embellished Ornaments

Hi there! I have been working a few days doing relief and been super busy with the work/mum balance that I nearly forgot about this sketch challenge! So I've just made it with about 9 hours to spare (out of a whole week!).

I really wanted to break out my new stamp sets from the new Holiday Catalogue - which is live on the 1st of September! The set I've featured is called "Embellished Ornaments" and it had a matching thinlits die set called "Delicate Ornament". You get solid and intricate dies for two different ornaments plus a few bits and pieces!

So here is my card!

This stamp set also has two sentiments and I have put one of them in the inside of my card.

Here is the sketch challenge from Just Add Ink. Click on the picture to go straight to their blog post and check it and the other entrants creations!

http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com.au/2015/08/just-add-ink-275just-add-sketch.html

There are also a few more items I've used from the new catalogue! These items include the Real Red and Whisper White ribbon and the Gold patterned Vellum. Trust me, you're going to LOVE the new catalogue and I can't wait for it to go live.

Thanks so much for coming by today to visit!

Mojo Monday #411 take 2!

Hey everyone, as promised, here is my second entry for Mojo Monday!

I wanted to do a second card for this challenge to try and create something a little more cleaner. Nevertheless, this is what I came up with! I do like making non-gender-specific cards for birthdays, especially when I often find out about birthdays on the day, and can just grab and go!

Here are the two cards I made for the Mojo Monday challenge. You can see my post HERE for the other card close up.

These cards were both inspired using the Mojo Monday #411 challenge. Click on the image below to go directly to their challenge blog. There is plenty of time to still enter yourself, or get inspiration!

Mojo Monday #411 - Hey, Girl meets Go Wild!

Hello and welcome to Mojo Monday! Okay so it's Tuesday here in Australia, but I finally have a day off so I could have a bit of a play in my neglected craft room!

I have actually made two cards for this challenge. I'll post them separately for the sake of entering the challenge, but I will include a photo of both cards in each post.

The first one I've made is using a new stamp set I got recently from the Annual Catalogue called Hey, Girl. Such a cute stamp set! I stamped the image on whisper white and then on some Watermelon Wonder DSP for her dress, bow and handbag. I really like this effect.

So here are the two cards I have made for this challenge. Check out my next post for the second card close up!

Here is this weeks challenge sketch for Mojo Monday #411. You really should head over to the site and check out the challenge and the projects the design team came up with. I really love this site because you're will find stacks of ideas for your projects from the hundreds of previous sketches over the years. Just click on the image below!

Crazy Crafters August Blog Hop - Stamp a Stack with Bundles

Hello friends! Welcome back to our Crazy Crafters Blog Hop! This month we are doing a 'Stamp a stack' using a bundle from the beautiful Stampin' Up! catalogues. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. We are so lucky to have very talented members in our team!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Handmade by Nicole Spicer - or may have come from the person previous to me in the list below. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Nicole Spicer.

There are SO many gorgeous bundles that it was really difficult to choose just one! When you purchase a bundle, which includes either a stamp set plus die or stamp set or punch for example, you save 15% off the total individual prices! Amazing value.

So here are my projects I've made using the Something for Baby Stamp and Die bundle.

I made this card based on one I did a little while ago in a colour challenge. This one is made up of three colours, Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder (both new In-Colours) and Pink Pirouette.

The next card I've made I originally saw on Pinterest a while ago. I really loved the design and style so I based my card on it and kind of just improvised from there!

My final card for today is a baby boy card, in Bermuda Bay, Whisper White and Tangello Twist. I really like these cards together!

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog - Handmade by Nicole Spicer, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

Hello friends, thanks for joining me again!

This challenge is from the Paper Players. They have an interesting colour combination this time, certainly not one I'd naturally choose, so to say this really was a challenge for me, might be an understatement!

This is what I've come up with!

Addicted to CAS #69 - Banners!

Hi there! Thanks for visiting my blog today! Today I have a challenge post for Addicted to CAS. Sometimes I think that CAS (clean and simple) cards are so much harder to create. Trying to stick to the minimalist side of me is very hard! Needless to say that I spent quite a bit of time on my card today!

I really love the Brights collection that Stampin' Up! have. The colour range just makes me so happy. So when I saw the theme of banners, I thought of celebrations and parties. Just like the HAPPY BIRTHDAY banners I buy for my children when its their birthday and we are having a party!

The challenge blog is below. Click on the image to take you straight to the Addicted to CAS blog. Here you'll not only see the challenge, but the creations that the design team and other crafters have done. They are so diverse and amazing!

Just Add Ink #273

Hello again! With my kids finally in bed and hubby busy getting ready for his classes tomorrow, I thought I'd try and fit in another crafty session in before going to bed myself. And look out! I'm even getting to blog it as well! I think that could be a first for me!!

Here is my card for this colour challenge. I do love these colours and might not necessarily put them together, but I'm really happy how this card turned out. I'd love to take the credit for the design, but I will admit that I did CASE one off Pinterest. The original I saw from Lisa Fennewald and thought it was lovely (maybe that accounts for why it didn't take me too long to make it? Oh dear, BUSTED!)
